Warranty Policy

Warranty Policy

Effective Date: 01-01-2025

Company: Imagine Technologies

Warranty Type: Limited Product Warranty

Imagine Technologies manufactures electronic products with a focus on quality, reliability and long-term performance. This Warranty Policy explains the warranty coverage applicable to Imagine Technologies products.

1. Standard Warranty Period

For normal retail customers, Imagine Technologies provides a 1-Year Warranty from the date of the original purchase invoice.

The warranty applies only to the product and components specifically identified as warranty-covered in this policy.

The original purchase invoice is required to establish the warranty start date.

2. Warranty for Authorised Dealers and Distributors

For products purchased by an authorised Imagine Technologies dealer or distributor, the applicable warranty period is:

12 + 3 Months Warranty

This means:

  • 12 months standard warranty.
  • An additional 3 months warranty applicable to authorised dealers/distributors according to company policy.

The warranty period is calculated from the original purchase date/invoice date.

The additional dealer/distributor warranty does not automatically extend to components or accessories that are specifically excluded from warranty.

3. What Is Covered

The warranty primarily covers the main controller unit against manufacturing defects occurring during normal intended use within the applicable warranty period.

If a covered manufacturing defect is confirmed by Imagine Technologies, the company may, at its discretion and according to its warranty provisions:

  • Repair the product.
  • Replace the defective main controller unit.

The final warranty remedy will be determined by Imagine Technologies after inspection/testing.

4. Sensors and Accessories

Unless specifically stated otherwise for a particular model or invoice, sensors, sensor wires, probes, external accessories and other consumable or accessory components are not covered under the standard warranty.

The warranty primarily applies to the main controller unit.

Certain products may have different warranty terms. Where a product-specific warranty explicitly provides different coverage, the product-specific warranty shall apply.

5. Warranty Claim Procedure

To request warranty support, the customer should contact Imagine Technologies through the available Email, telephone or WhatsApp support channels.

The customer may be requested to provide:

  • Purchase invoice.
  • Product model number.
  • Product serial number, where applicable.
  • Photographs/videos of the issue.
  • Installation details.
  • Wiring details.
  • Description of the problem.
  • Other information required for troubleshooting.

Imagine Technologies may first provide remote technical troubleshooting through telephone or WhatsApp.

If the issue cannot be resolved remotely and the product is required for inspection, the company may request the customer to send the defective main controller to Imagine Technologies.

6. Transportation and Shipping

Where a warranty inspection/repair/replacement is approved:

The customer is responsible for sending the suspected defective product to Imagine Technologies at the customer's own cost.

After the company receives and verifies the product as a genuine warranty case, Imagine Technologies will bear the applicable return transportation/shipping cost for sending the repaired or replacement unit back to the customer, subject to company policy.

The company is not responsible for:

  • Customer's local electrician charges.
  • Installation/removal charges.
  • Travel expenses.
  • Packaging costs incurred by the customer.
  • Damage occurring during customer-arranged transportation due to inadequate packaging.

Customers should pack the product safely when sending it for warranty inspection.

7. Warranty Inspection

All warranty claims are subject to inspection and testing by Imagine Technologies.

Submission of a product for inspection does not automatically mean that the claim will be accepted as a warranty claim.

If inspection confirms a manufacturing defect covered by warranty, the company will process the applicable warranty remedy.

If the issue is found to be outside warranty, the customer may be informed about the applicable repair/replacement charges before any chargeable work is carried out.

8. Warranty Exclusions

Warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by:

  • Modified.
  • Altered.
  • Reworked.
  • Tampered with.
  • Used with modified circuitry.
  • Subjected to self-repair.

Where a product is provided with a warranty/security seal, a broken, removed, damaged or tampered warranty seal may void the warranty, subject to applicable law.

Consumable parts, externally installed sensors, probes, wires and accessories are not covered under the standard warranty unless specifically mentioned in the product-specific warranty.

Normal wear and deterioration caused by usage or environmental conditions are not considered manufacturing defects.

10. Installation Support

Imagine Technologies does not provide standard local/on-site installation services.

Customers are responsible for arranging installation through a qualified local electrician or technician.

Imagine Technologies may provide technical guidance through:

  • Telephone.
  • WhatsApp.
  • Email.
  • Remote troubleshooting.

Remote technical support does not include free on-site service.

11. Repair or Replacement — Not Automatic Refund

For a confirmed warranty defect, the standard warranty remedy is:

Repair OR Replacement

The company will determine the appropriate remedy based on the product condition, availability of parts/products and applicable company warranty provisions.

A warranty claim does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund.

A refund may be considered only where required under applicable law or specifically approved by Imagine Technologies.

12. No Change-of-Mind Return

If the product is functioning correctly and there is no confirmed manufacturing defect or applicable non-conformity, the customer cannot normally request a return or refund simply because:

  • The product is no longer required.
  • The customer changed their mind.
  • The customer selected the wrong model.
  • The customer purchased a different model later.
  • The customer does not want to install the product.
  • The product does not suit an application that was outside the published specifications.

Applicable statutory consumer rights, where applicable, remain unaffected.

13. No Product-to-Product Exchange

Different Imagine Technologies products have different prices, specifications, features and applications.

Therefore, a customer cannot normally exchange one product for another product solely because they want a different model.

Any exceptional exchange will require prior approval from Imagine Technologies and will be subject to applicable commercial terms.

14. Warranty Transfer

Warranty is normally associated with the original product and original purchase transaction.

Proof of purchase may be required for warranty service.

The company may request the original invoice or other acceptable purchase documentation before processing a warranty claim.

15. Warranty Does Not Cover Installation Costs

Even when a product is accepted under warranty, the company does not normally bear:

  • Electrician charges.
  • Installation charges.
  • Product removal charges.
  • Reinstallation charges.
  • Local technician charges.
  • Travel expenses.

The warranty applies to the covered product and not to associated installation/service costs.

16. Replacement Product

Where replacement is approved, the replacement may be:

  • The same model.
  • An equivalent product/model determined by Imagine Technologies, subject to availability and company warranty provisions.

Replacement does not necessarily mean a brand-new retail unit in every circumstance; the company may provide an appropriate replacement unit according to its warranty process and applicable law.

17. Warranty Period After Repair or Replacement

Unless otherwise required by applicable law or specifically confirmed in writing by Imagine Technologies, repair or replacement under warranty does not automatically restart the original warranty period.

The original warranty period continues from the original invoice date.

18. Important Customer Responsibility

Before sending a product for warranty service, customers should:

  1. Contact Imagine Technologies.
  2. Provide the purchase invoice.
  3. Explain the problem clearly.
  4. Follow the troubleshooting instructions provided by technical support.
  5. Send the product only when requested or authorised.
  6. Pack the product securely.
  7. Include the required purchase/warranty information.

19. Fraudulent or Misuse of Warranty Claims

Imagine Technologies reserves the right to reject warranty claims involving:

  • False information.
  • Intentional damage.
  • Tampering.
  • Unauthorised modification.
  • Repeated misuse.
  • Manipulation of warranty documentation.
  • Products that cannot be verified as genuine Imagine Technologies products.

20. Limitation and Applicable Law

This Warranty Policy is subject to applicable laws and regulations in India.

Nothing in this Warranty Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or override any consumer right, statutory warranty, remedy or protection that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
